Low Voltage Rescue/LVR Training Course Overview
The LVR or low voltage rescue training course component of this training covers the skills and knowledge required for a person to be able to carry out a risk assessment of an electrically hazardous situation and confidently perform low voltage rescue procedures without hazard to themselves or others.
The CPR component of this training covers both theoretical and practical aspects of providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines, including however not limited to the below:
- Recognise an emergency situation
- Manage risks to the health and safety of self and others
- Assess the casualty and recognise the need for CPR
- Seek assistance from emergency response services
- Display respectful behaviour towards casualty
- Operate Automated External Defibrillator (AED) according to manufacturer’s Instructions
- Accurately convey incident details to emergency response services
- Report details of incident to workplace supervisor as appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information in line with statutory and/or organisational policies.
Target Audience
Perform Low Voltage rescue Training from a live LV panel is suitable for both electrical and non-electrical qualified personnel. Perform Low voltage rescue from a live LV panel does not include training in overhead lines or underground cables in the work place. Provide CPR is suitable for the general public or anyone that may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Course Delivery
Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Outcomes of Low Voltage Rescue Training
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Entry Requirements
All candidates must be literate in the English language (no interpreters allowed).
All students must be physically capable of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation for 2 minutes, uninterrupted on a full size manikin on the ground floor.
At enquiry, students can enter the program by expressing an interest and being sent an information pack that contains booking notification and course information (Course Brochure). This interest process enables the RTO and client to work together to ensure the course is suitable for them and to identify any additional support needs & make adequate provisions.

Employment Pathways: After achieving these units of competency students may seek employment or additional responsibilities in the electrical industry.
