Supervise Asbestos Removal Training Course Overview

This course covers the necessary skills and knowledge required to safely and competently supervise the removal of asbestos to industry, workplace health and safety and Australian Standards.

This course includes but is not limited to planning & preparation, hazard identification, assessment, control & review, managing the selection & use of safety equipment, supervise testing, compliance & documentation in consultation with the licensed asbestos assessor and the asbestos removalist, overseeing removal & decontamination processes, supervising and supporting team members & supervising the clean up the work site and completion of the required documentation.

Target Audience

This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory roles undertaking work in constructions / demolition and related activities.

Course Delivery

Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Outcomes of Supervise Asbestos Removal Training

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Entry Requirements

CPCCWHS1001 Work safely in the construction industry is a pre-requite to CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal . All students must hold CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos and/or CPCCDE3015 Remove non friable asbestos is a pre-requite to CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal. Students wishing to supervise the removal of non-friable asbestos must hold CPCCDE3014 Remove non friable asbestos prior to enrolling in CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal, and students wishing to supervise the removal of friable asbestos must hold CPCCDE3015 Remove friable asbestos prior to enrolling in CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal.

All students must be literate in the English language (no interpreters allowed).

At enquiry, students can enter the program by expressing an interest and being sent an information pack that contains a booking notification and course information (Course Brochure). This expression of interest enables the RTO and client to work together to identify any additional support needs & make adequate provisions.
