Course details

This nationally recognised course covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of Loading and Unloading Plant. The delivery will include the skills and knowledge required to load and unload plant in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority regulations/permit requirements, securing and protecting a load and completing all required documentation. Undertaking load and unload plant training will involve the following:

  • Lifting aids and appliance selection (in accordance with workplace procedures and safety legislation)
  • Unloading activities (conducted in a safe and efficient manner taking into account suitable locations, stowage, safe use of equipment and balance of remaining load)
  • Hazard identification and controls
  • Securing a load using correct load restraint and protection equipment for different loads, carrying and storage conditions

Target audience

This unit applies to individuals who are required to load and unload plant and machinery.

 

Outcomes of Load and Unload Plant Training

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Course delivery

Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
