ACDC – Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (also referred to as Chem Cert) includes the theoretical and practical components of two (2) units of competency chosen by the Department of Primary industries to meet skills and knowledge required to be able to apply to hold an ACDC unrestricted Licence.

This course consists of two (2) units of competency that make up the skill group including:

  • Safe transport & storage
  • Determining weather conditions suitable for spraying
  • Understanding chemical application issues
  • Equipment calibration techniques
  • Knowledge to limit spray drift
  • Managing chemical residues
  • Risk assessments & hazard control corms
  • Self-Audit & compliance checklists
  • Integrated pest management
  • Record keeping requirements
  • Conduct a site hazard identification and risk control assessment
  • Apply a range of weed control methods and maintain records

Target audience

ACDC / Chem Cert is suitable for those who are currently distributing chemicals in the agriculture and/or horticulture industries. This training course is also suitable for those who are interested in entering the agriculture, horticulture or primary industries.

 

Outcomes of ACDC / Chem Cert Training

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Course delivery

Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
