This 4WD Skill Set course provides the knowledge and practical training required to safely operate and maintain four-wheel drive vehicles in a variety of off-road and remote conditions. Participants learn how to conduct safety checks, navigate challenging terrain, perform vehicle recovery, and comply with WHS requirements for field operations.

Four-wheel drive training is essential for workers and supervisors involved in mining, construction, utilities, environmental fieldwork, emergency services, and infrastructure projects, particularly where unsealed or difficult terrain is involved.

Once all course requirements are completed, you will receive a Statement of Attainment that is nationally recognised across Australia.

What will this 4WD course teach me?

Our 4WD Skill Set course provides skills and education across both theory and practical to safely operate and maintain four-wheel drive vehicles.

You will learn:

Face-to-face training and assessment are conducted at one of Link Resources’ purpose-built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients, provided they have a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Yes. Participants are welcome to use their own 4WD, provided it meets safety and training requirements. The vehicle must be roadworthy, appropriately insured, and approved by your trainer. A $175 discount applies when using your own vehicle.
