New Safety Training Facility Now Open in Traralgon, Gippsland

Gippsland has a new option for nationally recognised safety training. Our Traralgon facility at 48a Standing Drive, Traralgon East is now open, bringing public courses, team bookings and a much broader training scope to local businesses, industry and workers.

For employers across the Latrobe Valley and wider Gippsland, it means fewer crews heading to Melbourne for a one day ticket, less time off the job, and a training provider that’s based in the region.

Expanding training opportunities in Gippsland

As an established Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45483), Link Resources delivers more than 80 courses across Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. Our expansion into Gippsland brings that experience and broader training capability to local employers and workers.

The Traralgon facility joins our existing Melbourne training centre in Cheltenham, expanding our Victorian presence and making industry training more accessible across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Gippsland already has a highly skilled workforce and an established training sector. We’re here to complement that by providing more local training options, helping employers meet their workforce requirements and reducing the need for workers to travel outside the region.

Training for Gippsland industries

Gippsland has powered Victoria for generations, and the region’s employers span energy, power generation, utilities, civil construction, water, manufacturing, dairy and food production, forestry, transport and local government. New renewable energy and infrastructure projects are adding to that demand, and supporting the industries already here matters just as much.

Energy, power generation, utilities and water: Working at Heights (RIIWHS204E), Confined Space Entry with gas testing and permits, and Low Voltage Rescue and CPR (UETDRMP018, HLTAID009) for crews working around plant, pits, tanks and live electrical equipment.

Civil construction, roads and councils: Conduct roller operations (RIIMPO317F), the Traffic Control and Traffic Management (TC1 and TMI1) Combined Course (RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Category 1 Skill Set, RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Category 1 Skill Set), and Working at Heights for crews on roads, subdivisions and infrastructure projects. The TC1 and TMI1 course runs over 3 days, plus 20 hours of workplace placement and a 1 day assessment.

Manufacturing, transport and food production: Forklift (TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck) and Manual Handling (HLTWHS005 Conduct manual tasks safely) for teams moving stock and materials every day.

Dairy, agriculture and forestry: the 4WD Skill Set, Manual Handling and First Aid (HLTAID011) for workers who spend their days on uneven ground, often a long way from help.

Training your team at Traralgon

If you need to train a whole crew, you don’t have to spread them across public dates. With a dedicated facility day, your team has our Traralgon facility to itself on a date that suits your roster. You pay for the day, not per head, and everyone trains together.

It suits employers who can release a full team at once, need a date that isn’t on the public schedule, or want training built around their own procedures. For teams of 6 or more who can’t leave site, our trainers can also come to your workplace anywhere in Victoria.
