Safety Access Rail Corridor (SARC) Course Overview

This nationally recognised course will provide participants with the knowledge, training and skills to effectively work safely in and around the rail corridor.

This course includes key elements of learning, including:

  • Taking appropriate safety precautions to access the rail corridor
  • Taking appropriate safety precautions to access the danger zone
  • Taking the appropriate action in an emergency situation

Target Audience

This course is suitable for people who are working within and around the rail industry.

Course Delivery

Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Outcomes

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised.

Cancellation policy

Please see the Link Resources Payments, Cancellations and Refund Policy below in Student Information for more details however please note the following.

If a client (corporate or individual) cancels at or more than seven (7) calendar days prior to the commencement of their course, there will be no charge. 

If a client (corporate or individual) cancels six (6) calendar days prior to the commencement of their course and the fees have not yet paid, they will be invoiced 50% of the full course fee. 

If a client (corporate or individual) cancels five (5) calendar days prior to the commencement their course and the fees have not yet paid, they will be invoiced 75% of the full course fee. 

If a client (corporate or individual) cancels four (4) or less calendar days prior to the commencement their course and the fees have not yet paid, they will be invoiced 100% of the full course fee. 

Entry Requirements

All students must be literate in the English language (no interpreters allowed).

No pre-requisites exist for this Unit of Competency.
