Gas Test Course Outline

This course covers the following topics:

  • WHS Statistics
  • Risk Management
  • Permits
  • Atmospheric testing and monitoring requirements
  • Oxygen: deficiency, enrichment, lower explosive levels, upper explosive levels
  • Carbon monoxide’s hydrogen sulphide, methane and other gasses
  • Exposure standards and limits
  • Gas testing equipment
  • Bump testing and calibration requirements
  • Gas detector and atmospheric testing / monitoring records

What to Expect After the Gas Test Training

After successfully completing the gas test atmospheres course, students will receive a Statement of Attainment which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This is a nationally recognised certification issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

If needed, students can progress on to take additional infrastructure units and relevant qualifications. Potential career opportunities after the successful completion of this course include work in civil, construction, resources, manufacturing, utilities and maintenance industries.
