Working in or around confined spaces requires the right training, hands-on experience, and fundamental understanding of permit systems and atmospheric testing. This course brings all four units together into one practical program delivered at our purpose-built Brisbane training facility in Morningside.
Participants learn how to safely enter, test, monitor, and work within confined environments while following workplace procedures, WHS legislation, and the Australian Standard AS2865. The course is designed to build real capabilities through simulator-based exercises, gas test equipment, and scenario training that reflects the types of spaces found across Queensland worksites.
Whether you’re upskilling yourself or organising training for your team, our Brisbane centre offers frequent course dates, modern training setups and an industry-experienced training team ready to support your learning.

Confined spaces work is a part of everyday operations across Brisbane’s construction, utilities, manufacturing and maintenance sectors, and requires the right training to manage the risks safely. This program brings together four units so workers can safely enter, test, monitor, and operate under a confined space permit.
This nationally recognised training course takes place at our purpose-built Brisbane facility in Morningside. The centre is designed to support hands-on learning, with simulated confined space environments, gas testing equipment and permit-to-work setups that reflect real job environments. Participants learn through practical scenarios guided by experienced trainers who have worked extensively across various Queensland industries.
Throughout the course, participants will cover:
Training includes both theoretical and practical components, allowing participants to develop the skills required to safely access, inspect and work inside confined spaces. Assessment may include written questions, verbal tasks, demonstrations and observed performance.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment covering all four units, recognised nationally across Australian worksites.

This course is suited to workers in Brisbane who enter or work around confined spaces as part of their job, including those who carry out gas testing, work under an entry permit, or act as a standby person. It’s also well-suited to supervisors and anyone responsible for overseeing confined space work, assessing hazards, or applying site safety procedures.
Across Brisbane and South East Queensland, confined space training is widely expected on construction sites, manufacturing facilities, utilities networks, transport corridors, and council-operated assets. Many employers require workers to hold current confined space units before starting on-site, as these tasks involve higher-risk environments and must comply with Queensland WorkSafe regulations and the Confined Spaces Code of Practice.

Our Brisbane training centre is purpose-built to support workers across the city and throughout South East Queensland who need hands-on confined space training. Located in Morningside, just minutes from the CBD, our facility offers easy access, on-site parking and a practical environment designed for real confined space scenarios.
With industry-leading resources and highly experienced trainers, your team can develop the skills, knowledge and capability needed to conduct gas testing and work across the region safely.
Our trainers have worked and trained across Queensland worksites and understand the confined space hazards that workers encounter across the region. They use that experience to train people not just in a way that helps them gain the permit, but in a way that supports them to apply those skills and knowledge in their day-to-day work.
We also deliver on-site corporate training across Brisbane for businesses wanting their workers to train in their own environment. This allows teams to learn procedures, equipment use, and safe entry practices in the same settings where they will complete confined space tasks.
Entry into the confined spaces course requires:
There are no academic prerequisites. If you have special needs, individual training support can be arranged to help meet the learning outcomes and course requirements.
Participants should be prepared to engage in practical exercises involving gas testing, hazard identification, and confined space work practices.
If the participant is under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the enrolment form on behalf of the student. Students will be required to obtain the following PPE to complete their practical assessment and to wear it as part of the requirements for their final assessment.
Please see the Link Resources, Payments, Cancellations and Refund Policy below in Student Information for all details on Payments for your course.

Completing these confined space units gives Brisbane workers a strong foundation for high-risk environments and is often paired with further workplace safety training. Workers looking to continue building their capability may progress into courses such as:
These pathways support workers who need broader emergency response skills or who are moving into supervisory, standby, or permit-issuing roles.
After completing this course, participants may move into or progress within roles that involve confined space entry, atmospheric testing, rescue readiness, or permit-controlled tasks. Relevant positions include:
This training is widely required across Queensland industries, including water treatment, tunnelling, civil works, energy, manufacturing, transport, and council works.
Our Morningside centre has purpose-built confined space areas and gas-testing equipment, so participants can get real, hands-on experience in a safe and controlled setting.
Our confined space training meets Australian standards and is accepted across every state and territory, so your certification travels with you no matter where work takes you.
With backgrounds in construction, resources, utilities and emergency services, our trainers understand the realities of confined space work. They explain the requirements in everyday language and focus on what workers genuinely need on the job.
Training is hands-on and focused on real work situations. Participants practise hazard identification, gas testing, permit procedures and safe entry techniques so they can step onto site ready to apply what they’ve learnt.
You’re welcome to join us at our Brisbane facility, or we can run the training at your site if it’s suitable. It’s a simple option for businesses wanting to keep their team together and reduce downtime.
