Mining Site Safety Supervisor (S123) Training Course Overview

Mine Site Safety Supervisor (S123) course covers the legal responsibilities and safety management knowledge required to work in a supervisory role in the mining industry. This course aims at informing the student how to successfully isolate and minimise risk at their work site and covers a wide range of knowledge in applying risk management processes, conducting health and safety investigations and communicating information at a supervisory level.

Our S123 Mining Supervisor course also provides students with industry knowledge and a clear understanding of the Queensland Government Mining, Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulations, and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.

Target Audience

Mine Site Safety Supervisor (MSSS) training and assessment is suitable for personnel either in a supervisory position in mining, workplace health and safety, civil works; or looking to become a supervisor in these industries.

Course Delivery

Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Outcomes of Mining Site Safety Supervisor (S123) Training

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Entry Requirements

All students must be literate in the English language (no interpreters allowed).

At enquiry, students can enter the program by expressing an interest and being sent an information pack that contains booking notification and course information (Course Brochure). This interest process enables the RTO and client to work together to ensure the course is suitable for them and to identify any additional support needs & make adequate provisions.

No pre-requisites exist for these Units of Competency.
