This Confined Spaces Course gives students the necessary skills and knowledge to safely enter and work in confined spaces. This training is also ideal for those required to write a permit and monitor gas levels.

If you live in Devonport, Launceston, Hobart or any of the surrounding areas you can sign up for one of our confined space entry training courses. The training is delivered face to face in one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities, or we can offer off-site / private dates using our (also) purpose built Mobile Training Unit.

Entry Requirements for the Confined Spaces Course

To take part in the Link Resources confined space training program, candidates must:

  • Be literate in English
  • Be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space
  • Read the information pack that will be in your booking confirmation

Confined Spaces Course Outline

Training and assessment is compliant with AS2865 including but not limited to:

  • Applicable Legislations and company confined space procedures
  • Definitions and types of confined spaces
  • Hazard identification and risk management procedures
  • Hazardous atmospheres including gas monitoring techniques
  • Isolation, purging, ventilation
  • Roles and responsibilities of team including standby
  • Rescue equipment and procedures
  • Industry case studies

What to Expect After Confined Space Entry Training

After successfully completing the confined spaces course, students will receive a Statement of Attainment which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This is a nationally recognised certification issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

To further enhance careers, students can sign up to a range of associated infrastructure units and qualifications. Career opportunities include employment in civil, construction, resources, manufacturing, utilities and maintenance industries.
