This course is for those students who have previously completed the Traffic Control full course and require a ‘refresher’. There is no requirement to complete a vocational placement; Refresher training is required every three years. The Transport and Main Roads Department does allow a 3 month gap from expiry to completing a refresher course.
This course is aimed at those who are currently work in traffic control and have completed Traffic Control full course within the past 3 years.
There is no pre course learning required for this Unit of Competency.
Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources Training purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).

Students must have completed RIIWHS205D Control traffic with stop – slow bat within the past 3 years with an Registered Training Organisation and hold a current Transport & Main Roads (TMR) Traffic Controller Licence. The Statement of Attainment and current Transport & Main Roads (TMR) Traffic Controller Licence must be presented upon enrolment.
Training & Education Pathways: After achieving these units of competency students may undertake a range of associated resources and infrastructure units and qualifications.
Employment Pathways: After achieving these units of competency students may maintain employment or additional responsibilities as a Traffic Controller in various industries.

Link Resources supply all equipment necessary for all students to undertake training and encourage students to bring along their own relevant equipment, procedures and other information.
For our public courses at our purpose built training facilities trainees must wear suitable clothing (t-shirt, pants and closed in footwear as a minimum).
