The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is aimed at those personnel who are operating in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role, or who work to provide supervision, leadership and guidance to others. This qualification reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well developed skills in a wide variety of contexts and may include coordinators, advisors and facilitators.
This qualification is comprised of 5 core units and 5 elective Units of Competency:

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is aimed at those personnel who are working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) advisor / officer role and provide advice and guidance to others.
Students are required to complete Pre Course Learning for this Qualification.
Upon booking students will receive an email Booking Confirmation with the Student Manuals and Pre Course Questionnaire attached. The student shall read the Student Manual and complete the Pre Course Questionnaire prior to the course commencement. These Pre Course Questionnaires will be reviewed by the Trainer / Assessor upon commencement of training.
Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources Training purpose built training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

All students must have sound language, literacy & numeracy (LLN) skills and sound computer skills to be capable of completing this qualification. A thorough LLN Assessment will be conducted upon enrolment in the Qualification and where this LLN assessment identified concerns Link Resources will provide options for additional support.
No pre-requisites exist for this Qualification.
Training & Education Pathways: After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake a range of associated work health & safety, environmental management and trainer / assessor units and qualifications.
Employment Pathways: After achieving this unit of competency candidates may seek to advance their employment in the workplace health and safety profession.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of a persons current skills and knowledge acquired through previous training, work or life experience.
Credit Transfer (CT) is the granting of credit to an individual for units of competency / modules previous completed.
Equipment & PPE requirements
Link Resources supply all equipment necessary for all students to undertake training and encourage students to bring along their own relevant equipment, procedures and other information.
For our public courses at our purpose built training facilities trainees must wear suitable clothing (t-shirt, pants and closed in footwear as a minimum).
